Daily Pamukkale Tour from Cappadocia

Pamukkale Day Tour from Cappadocia

Pamukkale is one of the important places in the Aegean Coast of Turkey. What makes Pamukkale famous is the cotton structure that occurs after calcium carbonate precipitates when it meets oxygen. In the travertines, natural pools are filled with water and these make the image even more beautiful. Since 2015, UNESCO-protected city has its own natural beauty.

I loved exploring this ancient spa town much more than other ancient cities. I couldn’t really picture what it was like back in the day. The structures are beautiful in Pamukkale and we were lucky to have a lot of time to ourselves. Lovely to walk on white terraces. There’s a shuttle that runs through if you want to walk from one end to the other and then shuttle back but it’s at your own expense.

We booked the Pamukkale long day tour from the Cappadocia, by Toursce. The overnight bus departed at 19.30 from Cappadocia to Denizli. The night bus journey took 10 hours. The bus drop us in the middle of nowhere in Denizli around 5.30, and we were picked up by a service arranged by Toursce company. We arrived at small town Pamukkale and our hotel room was ready for us to freshen up. We checked into our room without waiting Because everything in Pamukkale starts at 9.30. Admittedly, after a long night’s journey, this rest, shower, and then breakfast were very good for us. After breakfast, we were picked up from our hotel for the tour at 10.00 and left our bags at the hotel. We met with the tour guide and other tour participants then started the Hierapolis and Pamukkale national park tour. The calcium terraces’ view was breathtaking. Bring along your towel to dry off your wet feet if you would like to walk on the calcium white terraces and soak your feet in a lovely small pool’s cotton castle. But beware of the slippery surface of the cotton castle. The guide was very caring and kind. He gave us free time and we spent time in the pools as we wanted. A friend of mine even swam in the ancient thermal pool of Cleopatra by paying extra. I wanted to explore more of the ancient city of Hierapolis with the guide and asked a lot of questions. Thank you to the guide, he tirelessly answered every question in detail and explained the history in depth. He was in complete control of the events. At the end of the tour, the shuttle to the airport was ready and dropped us at Denizli airport for our flight to Istanbul. The plane departed at 19.00 and we arrived in Istanbul at 20.10. The whole organization went perfectly and we were not nervous about anything. Thanks to the whole team. That’s all folks. Hope this would help all independent travelers who have a short travel time.
