Fascinating historical tour! The trip was an all-day tour from Istanbul. I got picked up at 6.00 from my hotel in Taksim and join other tour participants then we were on the road by 7:00. On the way, we stopped for a quick snack, drink (own expense), and personal needs then when we got to Gallipoli we checked in at the tour office. Then had lunch before we set off for the tour. the lunch was Turkish food and they catered for me as a vegetarian and it was included. Lunch was an appetizer of soup, a main, and dessert. We stopped at a lot of historic spots along the journey like Anzac cove, Chanuk Bair, Lone Pine Memorial, and a heap of others that I cannot remember fully. Our day tour guide was super informative and made sure that he gave information about the Gallipoli campaign from both the Allied side and the opposition. The tour ended at about 5:30 pm and then we headed back to Istanbul. We got back at around 10:45 pm at the hotel in Istanbul. so make sure that you are prepared for a long day of learning and travel! I recommend this trip to anyone who has an interest in war history, it is a must.

We went on the day tour to Gallipoli from Istanbul with our best friends. It was an amazing day for us. our local tourist guide was extremely knowledgeable about the Gallipoli area and the battles that happened during WW1. In hindsight, I would have done the two-day tour, if just to not do the 4,5-hour drive twice in one day. That being said if you are short on time and can only do a day trip it is 100% worth it.

Traveling from Istanbul to the Gallipoli war peninsula and back in one day, we knew it was going to be long but it was definitely worth it! Our tour guide Buse was humorous and knowledgable, explaining to us the perspectives from all sides of the war. Being Kiwis and Aussie, it is a massive part of our history and we had always wanted to visit the sites that we’d heard so much about. This was the best tour of our best group friends. We have been a short time in Turkey but we will come again soon. I would highly recommend!

Saving Private Ryan was one of my favorite movies. Specialy the begining scene of the film was just stunning. I was wondering what kind a feeling susposed to being in that kind of situation on a a battlefield. Specialy as an Australian for who lost his grandfather at first world war. When i steped on Gallipoli Peninsula i realized that reality of war, far impressive than movies. Tour was great and guides were very knowledgeable. But the most important thing is how incredible the turkish people hospitality. Thank you for this unique experince and hope to see you guys again.
