We did a number of tours in Turkey but this trip was the best of them. The best of all was this private tour in Istanbul and all the services were excellent. Our tour guide Ugur was first class. He was there on time and knew that we had very little time to see a lot. He quickly worked with us to prioritize, figure out the timing so that we would be efficient and was just wonderful in not only getting us around to see the most important sites but was a pleasure and a lot of fun to be with. He even gave us directions and ideas as to what to do later in the day on our own which worked out perfectly. Ugur made it for us. He was so professional and personable and gave us a great sense of the culture in the city.

Our guide Filiz was a great historian and Istanbul city is a great history lesson! She was able to impart the great history of each of the locations. However, it was information overload to us. I think by the 15th minute, I lost most of what she has to say. Especially after lunch at the local restaurant. Too much standing around listening to her. I would love to wander around the area a little more, less standing around listening to history. It would have been better if she would walk with us, give us little snippets of important, and interesting history/information of an area in the attraction, walk some more, and do the same rather than the 20 – 30 minutes standing around with her talking and then us wandering around. Other than that I loved the day trip as like other tour participants.

This tour was my best tour ever in Turkey in two weeks. With my family of 7, we booked a 14 days vacation in Turkey. Also, we used some of the tour companies in Turkey. This tour and hotels booked by toursce.com were very good. The hotels were much better than we accepted. All of them were clean and large rooms and the location was amazing of them. Our Istanbul tour guide Mr. Ugur was so kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about Istanbul and all over Turkey. We learned a lot about Turkish culture and Turkey from him. The Tour program was very good and the tour guide’s English was just perfect. Everything was perfect during our holiday in Istanbul city. I do not like to talk about other reservations I did by other companies in Turkey. Because I want to forget them. I wish we had organized all my reservations with you.

Ergun at the day tour was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable, and engaging. He was so patient, helpful, and ensured that the group knew how long and when and where to get together. Travelling by tour bus during the day in the program is the way to go, so have no issues with that. As a highlights tour, it whets the appetite for more. Turkey is an amazing place, Istanbul particularly is particularly scenic and unusual. No issues with accommodation in the city, hotel staff were generally helpful to address any issues. An only minor point is WiFi was a bit hit and miss at the hotel. If you buy a Turkcell mobile phone card for about $45 US it should cover you to use as a hotspot in those cases.
