Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the history of the Gallipoli Peninsula, which made the experience all the more memorable. Gallipoli is a good 4 hours drive without stops from Istanbul, so not great for a day tour with so much to see. We stayed locally and had time for a decent look around at some of the 1st World War battlefields sites and military cemeteries in the area. On the peninsula, there was a nice wind which was helpful in the heat. A must visit if in area, its a long way but brilliant.

This is a great option for those wanting a day trip to Gallipoli. This tour has all the key sites at the Gallipoli war area and the transport logistics are taken care of. The tour guide is informative and relatable. If you make yourself familiar with the history of this big WW1 battle, you will understand and mourn the loss of many Australians, Turkish, and New Zealanders’ youthful soldiers. Be aware though that the bus journey is 5-5,5 hours each way depending on where your hotel pick up is at so it’s a very long day. So if you have more time maybe stay overnight and join 2 days tour option with Troy tour. Highly recommend this tour company.
