  • The first starting point of our tour is the city center of Çanakkale. Here you will have a great time to explore the Trojan Horse. The Trojan horse is still standing there as a symbol of years of wars in the region. Of course, the horse you will see here is not a horse itself, but a replica. However, this replication has been quite successful. (The one which used in the movie of Troy.)
  • Our next destination will be Sacrificial Altars. This region has been built for the gods since the past and is used to bless the gods. You will learn about the religious beliefs of the past civilizations by visiting here.
  • Another destination was The 3700-year-old city walls. The importance of protecting a city from the antiquity and defending the city against the enemies was enormous. Today, these are made with firearms. In the past, wrapping around the city was a very popular method by building real huge walls. These walls are also very strong, 3700-year-old walls surrounding this ancient city.
  • Houses of Troy I, 3000 B.C. – 2500 B.C was designated as another destination. These houses are ancient houses built with a roof and still quite intact. In the past, we get the most important information about how people have a lifestyle.
  • The Agora was one of the most important places for the socialization of the ancient city. The commercial life of the city took place in Agora. Merchants used to sell their products here and customers would take their needs in these markets. In order to understand the nature of the products traded in the past, it may be very useful to see the market closely.

Amazing historical site in Canakkale. I was not sure what to expect from this tour. But I am glad it one of those places everyone has heard of and it wasn’t a disappointment. I knew a lot about Troy, but the tour guide had more information than I did and added information to my knowledge. In the light of this information, it was extraordinary to see and visit the ancient city of Troy on site. Thank you very much for your very good tour organization.

Troy is a very large site and only a tiny fraction of the archeology now complete, overall the ancient ruins are frankly not that impressive right now. But a good tour guide will show how there were 9 distinct cities built one on top of another here and will describe some of the famous characters that lived here. There is the obligatory replica of the Trojan Horse that you can climb in and get pictures of if you have the patience to brave the crowd. Our tour guide made us travel to that period with his beautiful explanations, and I saw 1000 old warships coming from the sea. Thank you very much.

Fascinating Troy history! The place is quite a lot of work to try to understand the history of the place. Lots of ancient stones… With seven levels of archeological excavations in the area, it’s a challenge to absorb. That is why you need a knowledgeable guide here. All our tour participants, driver, meal, and local tour guide were excellent. They make it fun one way or another. It was great to take photos with Trojan horses!

I visited the ancient Troy ruins 30 years ago. I returned with our children and was amazed by the effort and research that has transpired since that first visit. In 1991 there was no real entrance, no footpaths, no reception area, and no explanation per see. We wandered about the mounds, artifacts, and ancient walls without knowing what we were doing or damaging. At the moment the sight clearly and thoughtfully outlines the nine eras of Troy’s history over five millennia. That is great. The archeological work is continuing, all well marked, and awe-inspiring. One must not travel from Canakkale south along the Aegean seacoast without stopping in Troy.

A lot more to see in Troy. Most people think there is no much to see in Troy but if you get the feel of the place and the various levels of Troia it really is very special. Please read up the legend of Paris and Helen before going to the ancient city, stand by the stone roadway where the hector rode down to meet Achilles. Lookout at the land that was once water and imagines those 1000 warships in front of ancient Troy. You have to use your imagination in this ancient city. If your guide is very good and knowledgeable, you will travel through this ancient city of your dreams and even feel like you are in a war. We were very lucky and we had an excellent guide. Thank you to the whole team.
