Morning hotel pickup, short drive to Laodicea, cave and countryside stops with lunch, and return to Pamukkale in the afternoon.

You are collected from your Pamukkale hotel and begin a short countryside transfer with the tour team. This route works well as a second-day excursion because it starts easily from the same hotel base. It gives you more of the region without repeating the main Pamukkale site.

Morning - Drive to Laodicea and begin the guided route.
The first drive to Laodicea takes around 15 minutes, so the historical part of the day starts quickly. Once there, you meet the guide and begin the mixed archaeology-and-nature route. Lunch is included during the day.

Laodicea Ancient City: Laodicea was one of the wealthiest cities in Roman Asia Minor, a major banking center on the crossroads of trade routes connecting Ephesus to Syria, and one of the Seven Churches addressed in the New Testament Book of Revelation. Active excavations continue to expose its colonnaded streets, a 15,000-seat stadium, twin agoras, a nymphaeum, and early Christian church structures, making it one of the most actively developing archaeological sites in western Turkey. Its proximity to Hierapolis means many travelers stay in Pamukkale for days without ever realizing how much more ancient city lies just a short drive away.
Kaklik Cave: Kaklik Cave formed through the same geological process as Pamukkale's white terraces, calcium-saturated thermal water depositing travertine over thousands of years, but the result here is entirely underground: stalactite-like formations, shallow mineral pools, and cave walls streaked with white and yellow calcium deposits in an enclosed, atmospheric space. The temperature inside stays cool regardless of the season, the cave air carries a faint mineral scent, and the way the white formations catch the light creates a distinctly otherworldly feeling. Travelers who have already spent a morning on the main Pamukkale terraces are often surprised by how different, and in some ways more dramatic, the underground version feels.
Lunch Break: Lunch is served at a countryside stop between the cave and the waterfall section. This break helps the route breathe and keeps the mixed-format day comfortable rather than rushed. Drinks are ordered separately during the meal service.
Honaz Waterfall: Honaz Waterfall descends from the slopes of Honaz Dagi (Mount Cadmus), an ancient peak that rises to 2,571 meters above the Denizli plain and was sacred to several successive Anatolian cultures. The waterfall site sits within a forested canyon where the air is noticeably cooler and the sound of falling water replaces the background noise of archaeological sites and tourist paths. As a final stop it works precisely because it asks nothing of the visitor except to stand in a green, shaded place and let the day decompress before the return drive to Pamukkale.

16:30 - Transfer back to your hotel in Pamukkale.
After the final stop, you return to Pamukkale by road. The route is designed as one connected day from your hotel base, so there is no separate planning needed between the countryside stops. Tour services end with hotel drop-off.

Abbiamo fatto questo tour come aggiunta alla visita di Pamukkale e ne e valsa assolutamente la pena. Laodicea e una citta antica enorme con pochi turisti, molto diversa da Efeso dove c'e tanta gente. La grotta di Kaklik era spettacolare, sembra una Pamukkale sotterranea con le formazioni di calcio bianche dentro la grotta. La cascata di Honaz era carina per fare una passeggiata nella natura. Il guida era simpatico e preparato. Perfetto per chi ha un giorno extra nella zona di Pamukkale.

This was our second day in Pamukkale area and so glad we did this instead of just repeating the travertines. Laodicea is a huge ancient city that hardly anyone visits compared to Ephesus. You can see the old streets, churches and the stadium without any crowds at all. Kaklik Cave was a total suprise, its like an underground version of Pamukkale with the same white calcium formations but inside a cave. So cool. Honaz Waterfall at the end was refreshing and pretty, nice way to finish the day. Our guide Emre was chill and answered all our questions. If youve already done Pamukkale and want something different this is the one to book.

Kaklik Cave was the highlight for me. Its like a mini Pamukkale but underground. So beautifull and almost no tourists. Laodicea was interesting too, huge ruins.

Nice tour for those who want to see more then just Pamukkale. Laodicea has significant biblical history and the ruins are extensive, tho not as well preserved as Ephesus. Kaklik Cave was genuinly impressive, the stalactites and calcium pools inside were beautifull. Honaz Waterfall was a pleasant stop but not spectacular, more of a nice nature walk. My only complaint is the tour felt a bit rushed at Laodicea, could have used another 30 minutes there. But overall a solid day trip and the guide was informative.
