Fortress to Minarets: A Day in Istanbul’s Historic Heart

08:30 – The tour will start with picking you up from your hotel. (The hotel should be located in the center areas like Sultanahmet and Beyoğlu.)
You will meet your tour guide and you will be given a brief introduction to the day’s itinerary and essential information.
After giving you a brief information, We will drive you to Yedikule Fortress.  Yedikule Fortress, also known as the Castle of Seven Towers, is a historic fortress located in the Yedikule neighborhood of Istanbul, Turkey. Its name, which translates to “Castle of Seven Towers” in Turkish, is derived from the seven large towers that once adorned its walls. This imposing fortress has a rich history that spans various eras and civilizations. This rich history includes; Byzantine origins, defensive Function, Ottoman Era and prison complex during the Ottoman Era, and architectural significance. After visiting the fortress with your professional tour guide,  you will be able to climb to the top of the towers to enjoy breathtaking vistas of the surrounding areas.
After visiting Yedikule Fortress, the tour will continue with Süleymaniye Mosque. The mosque of Süleyman the Magnificent was built between 1550 and 1557 by the famous architect Sinan whose wish was to surpass the builders of St. Sophia. It is conspicuous by its great size, emphasized by the four minarets rising from each corner of the courtyard.
Around 12:30 – You will enjoy a delicious Turkish lunch at a local restaurant, savoring regional flavors.
After having a delicious lunch, we will board a boat for a relaxing Bosphorus tour, navigating through the strait and we will sail past iconic landmarks such as Dolmabahçe Palace, Maiden’s Tower, and Ortakoy Mosque. We will continue to drive you by bus to Golden Horn the Golden Horn has been a strategic location throughout Istanbul’s history, providing a sheltered harbor for ships and facilitating trade and maritime activities.  We will head to the cable car station for a scenic cable car ride on Pierre Loti Hill and then you will explore the charming hilltop with its cafes, capturing stunning views of the city and the Golden Horn.
After having some free time, you will return to the down.
17:00 – The tour is over. We will transfer you back to your hotel. Thank you for being with us on this amazing day tour.
