Pamukkale Day Tour from Antalya includes two different destinations: Pamukkale Travertines & Hierapolis Ancient City. Each destination will be visited in detail. Here the main structures will be visited:
- First of all, it may be useful to talk about Pamukkale. Thanks to its natural structures, Pamukkale has become a tourist center as well as a medical center. The use of medicinal groundwater in treatments and spa centers, makes people especially those with muscle diseases, to visit here frequently. In addition to that, most of the hotels in the area serve as Thermal hotels.
- One of the destinations included in the tour is Cotton Castle. The scientific name of this structure is called Pamukkale Travertines. This structure takes a white color with the collapse of carbon, calcium and carbonate substances over the centuries. This white color overlaps in layers. In this way, it consists of a large structure resembling white and high mountain. Here, the formation of Pamukkale Traventines can be summarized in this way. Within this natural structure, some small pools were formed. The most famous of these pools is called Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool. You can also check this pool within the tour. But if you want to swim in the pool you will need to pay extra. If you want to swim in this pool, we recommend you to bring a bathing suit. (Swimming is your own expense.)
- Following our Pamukkale day tour from Antalya, we are going to Hierapolis Ancient City This city is a Phrygian city dating back to the past. The area, which has been used for many years, is located on the top of a mountain and therefore its landscape is enormous. There are several buildings in the region that still protect their assets. Some of these structures can be listed as Roman Baths, Necropolis, Domitian Gate, Oil Factory, Agora, Latrina, Frontinious Street, Plutonium, Byzantium Gate, Cathedral, Triton Fountain.
- You have the chance to have lunch at a lovely local restaurant with the group as part of the tour.
- There are shopping stops on the tour.
When the Pamukkale tour ends, you will be transferred to your hotels.
Approx. 22:00 ─ You will arrive at your hotel in Antalya.

A long day trip but both places were great. The beauty of the white terraces, and the history of Hierapolis ruins. Lots of people were there while on our day trip, mainly to see the Pamukkale white terraces, not a lot of water on terraces but beautiful just the same. Our highlight was the tour is Hierapolis’s ancient ruins, so many ruins of this ancient place. It was very hot and at times hard walking around, but worth it to see so much history. After a tour guide explanations, had free time to explore both places.

My family trip to Pamukkale from Antalya was excellent, delightful, and informative. Our guide Asli was very active and lively. The panoramic views were excellent. The white castle and amphitheater were excellent in Pamukkale.

Fantastic day trip to white Pamukkale from the beachside o Antalya! My family loved every minute of this trip. Our local guide, Memet, was a mine of information and we also learned a lot about the history of Turkey. You really need to understand the history to appreciate all of the things that you see on the day tour. That’s a long day but worth every minute. If you join the tour I would recommend taking both swim options as in the travertines and antique pool. They are both completely different experiences but, if you feel you can only do one, then do Cleopatra’s pool (that is extra fee). You don’t get to Pamukkale town until the afternoon the main reason being that you really don’t want to be there at the hottest time in the day. Totally wonderful day tour.

A very nice long day trip from Antalya. A little demanding, because the temperature is very high there, but there is time both for yourself and for interesting stories from the local guide. The local guide also shows that he is very committed and generally very cool, a man who talks passionately about Turkey, and also refers to Russia, where he spent some time. We definitely recommend Pamukkale day trip while you are in Antalya!

Wow-what a Pamukkale!!! We were picked up from our hotel at 06:30 and returned to Antalya at 22:00. It was a very long day tour however it was worth every second! The view going up to Pamukkale was amazing, it’s so white and pure! We paid extra more to go into the Cleopatra pool which was around 35 degrees and it was beautiful. Highly recommended, please do that worth paying to go into!! The Roman amphitheater was well worth looking around and the Hierapolis ruins was an experience with a knowledgeable local guide. If you have time then I will recommend you join the Pamukkale day tour from Antalya.
