12:30-13:00 - Pick up from your central Istanbul hotel.
Your afternoon begins with hotel collection from central districts such as Sultanahmet, Taksim, Sisli, Fatih, and Beyoglu. This pre-arranged transfer makes the cruise much easier if you do not want to organize your own way to the pier. After pickup, you head toward the boarding point with the group.

After boarding - Leave Golden Horn and enter the Bosphorus.
Once everyone is on board, the route starts from Golden Horn and moves into the Bosphorus Strait. We almost skipped this and did a walking tour instead but SO glad we didnt. After three days of walking Istanbul our feet were destroyed and sitting on a boat eating lunch while watching palaces go by was exactly what we needed. The food was good, the views were spectacular, and the guide commentary was interesting without being overbearing. Dolmabahce Palace is genuinely one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen and the water perspective makes it even better.

Beylerbeyi Palace on the Asian side was a surprise highlight. I didnt even know there were palaces on the Asian side of Istanbul until the guide pointed it out from the boat. The whole cruise is basically a floating history lesson while you eat good food. The kebabs at lunch were excellent. Seeing the city from the water gives you a completley different perspective than walking the streets. The Maiden's Tower in the distance was beautiful. Highly reccomend for an afternoon in Istanbul.

Saw both Europe and Asia from the boat which is a cool feeling. One side of the Bosphorus is European Istanbul and the other is Asian Istanbul. The mansions on both sides are beautifull, our guide called them yali houses and explained who used to live in them. The lunch was really good, fresh fish and Turkish salads. The Maiden's Tower in the middle of the water was a great photo opportunity. Very enjoyable cruise.

Dolmabahce Palace from the water is genuinely stunning. The white marble facade stretching along the shore looks like it goes on forever. Our guide explained that sultans moved there from Topkapi because they wanted a European style palace which I thought was interesting. The lunch was good Turkish food with plenty of options. Sailing under the Bosphorus Bridge felt symbolic, like crossing between continents. Hotel pickup and return was included. Really nice afternoon.

The food was way better than expected on a tourist boat. Grilled meat, rice pilaf, fresh bread, multiple salads, and baklava for dessert. We ate on the upper deck watching Dolmabahce Palace pass by which was incredible. The guide pointed out Ciragan Palace which is now a hotel, Beylerbeyi Palace on the Asian side, and both Bosphorus bridges. The whole thing was relaxing and informative at the same time. Great way to spend an afternoon.
