• Mevlana Museum: The Mevlana Museum occupies the original tekke, the lodge where Jalal ad-Din Rumi lived, taught, and gathered the Mevlevi brotherhood from the 13th century onward. Inside the complex you move through the tomb chamber with its distinctive conical green-tiled turbe, dervish living quarters, and a remarkable collection of handwritten manuscripts, musical instruments, and robes that the Mevlevi order used across centuries of Sema ceremonies. • Selimiye Mosque: Built by order of Sultan Selim II in the 16th century, this mosque sits immediately adjacent to the Mevlana complex and forms the Ottoman counterpoint to the Seljuk and Mevlevi identity surrounding it. Its single large dome, pencil-thin minaret, and restrained stone facade give the area a different architectural rhythm after the ornate tilework of the tekke. The pairing of the two buildings in one square is one of the better illustrations of how Ottoman and Sufi sacred spaces developed in dialogue with each other.

• Karatay Madrasa (Tile Museum): Built in 1251 by Seljuk emir Celaleddin Karatay, this madrasa was one of the most sophisticated centers of Islamic education in medieval Anatolia, and its conversion into a tile museum means the building now houses the finest collection of Seljuk ceramic art in Turkey. The interior dome is covered in deep-blue and turquoise star-pattern tiles that create a celestial effect the Seljuks associated with divine order, an intentional visual theology rather than simple decoration. It is the stop that most strongly clarifies how tightly intertwined scholarship, faith, and craftsmanship were in Konya's medieval character.

• Alaaddin Mosque and Panoramic Meram: Alaaddin Mosque stands on the hill that the Seljuk sultans chose as their dynastic and religious center, a position that made it both the oldest and most politically significant mosque in medieval Konya. Built across several building campaigns in the 12th and 13th centuries, the mosque's interior columns were taken from earlier Roman and Byzantine structures, creating a layered space where three civilizations are literally stacked inside one prayer hall. The panoramic drive through the Meram district afterward eases the pace, offering views over the city that tie the day's many historical layers into one geography.
