Video15 Days Turkey Tour Package from Istanbul
15 Days Turkey Tour Package from Istanbul
VideoTour Overview
Where most 15-day packages insert another bus transfer, this one adds a 4-day Blue Cruise from Fethiye along the Turquoise Coast. Butterfly Valley, Kas, and the Kekova sunken city fill the middle of the trip before Antalya and Cappadocia close it out. A 15-day Turkey package with a genuine coastal sailing chapter.

Istanbul Old City Tour & Bosphorus Cruise
Meal: Breakfast & Lunch
08:30 - Pick up from your hotel.
Transfer to the old city peninsula.
- Hagia Sophia: Once the world's largest domed structure, Hagia Sophia was built in 537 AD and has served consecutively as a Byzantine cathedral, Ottoman mosque, museum, and now an active mosque. The layered history and the scale of the interior, where the dome rests on four massive pendentives above a floor of 10,000 square metres, make it the single most visited monument in Turkey.
- Blue Mosque: Istanbul's Blue Mosque is the only Ottoman imperial mosque in the city with six minarets, and its hand-painted Iznik tiles, 20,000 in total, give the domed interior a blue-toned luminosity that has defined its international identity. The mosque remains active for daily prayers, so the visit is timed between prayer periods.
- Hippodrome: The ancient Hippodrome was Constantinople's defining public space, where Byzantine emperors staged chariot races before up to 100,000 citizens. Three ancient monuments on its spine survive: an Egyptian obelisk from 1450 BC, the Serpent Column from Delphi's Temple of Apollo, and the Column of Constantine, each an artifact of how the Byzantine capital assembled the world's heritage in one square.
- Bosphorus Cruise: The Bosphorus Cruise moves through 15 km of strait where the European and Asian shores of Istanbul pass simultaneously, with Ottoman waterfront palaces, medieval fortresses, and the modern skyline visible from the same deck. After the morning historical visits, the cruise gives the day a genuinely different rhythm before returning to the hotel.
17:30 - Tour ends.

Fly to Izmir & Ephesus Ancient City
Meal: Breakfast & Lunch
04:00 - Early morning pick up. (Pickup time and airport may change.)
07:20 - Flight from Istanbul to Izmir. (Flight time may change.)
08:30 - Arrival at Izmir airport. (Arrival airport and time may change according to availability.)
Transfer to Ephesus.
- Ephesus Ancient City: Monumental fountains once stood at key intersections throughout Ephesus, fed by aqueducts and used as gathering points for residents. Several survive in remarkably detailed condition, their carved basins and decorative friezes still readable after centuries of exposure. These smaller monuments alongside the grand ones remind you how sophisticated daily life was in this ancient Roman city.
- House of Virgin Mary: Children who visit the House of Virgin Mary often respond to the wishing wall more than to the chapel itself, something about tying a small piece of paper to a wire fence and making a wish is universally understood. For parents, explaining why so many different people have left wishes here opens a natural conversation about faith, hope, and shared human experience. It is one of the few sacred sites that reaches naturally across generations.
- Temple of Artemis: Herostatus famously burned the Temple of Artemis in 356 BC on the same night Alexander the Great was born, in a deliberate act designed to ensure his name would be remembered forever. It worked, historians have recorded his name for over two millennia, alongside the name of the wonder he destroyed. Your guide can explain the full story of the temple's multiple destructions and rebuildings at this fascinating site near Ephesus.
16:30 - Ephesus tour ends.
Transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi/Selcuk.
Overnight stay in Kusadasi/Selcuk.
Free Day on the Aegean Coast
Meal: Breakfast
Aegean free time is left open here so the route can breathe before moving inland again.

Pamukkale & Hierapolis, Bus to Fethiye
Meal: Breakfast & Lunch
08:00 - Pick up from your hotel.
Transfer to Pamukkale.
- Pamukkale: Warm water, white rock, and two thousand years of slow geological work, that is the story of Pamukkale. Mineral-rich thermal springs overflow natural ledges and leave behind calcium carbonate as they cool, building terraces that look as if they were carved from white marble. UNESCO lists the site, along with the ancient city of Hierapolis directly above, as a World Heritage treasure.
- White Calcium Terraces: Most visitors to Pamukkale expect the terraces to be cold like a mountain waterfall; most leave surprised that the thermal water is genuinely warm. The springs that feed these white calcium formations maintain a steady temperature year-round, making a barefoot walk across the travertine feel surprisingly spa-like. The combination of warm water, smooth white rock, and wide-open views across Denizli is hard to describe in words.
- Hierapolis Ancient City: Saint Philip the Apostle is traditionally believed to have died in Hierapolis, and a martyrium built in his honor still stands on the hillside above the main city. The octagonal structure is one of the largest early Christian martyria surviving in Turkey. Its presence in a city originally famous for pagan healing rituals adds an unexpected religious layer to the ruins above Pamukkale.
- Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool: Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool sits in a shaded area of the Hierapolis ruins, fed by the same underground thermal system that gives Pamukkale its famous white terraces. Warm water at 36 degrees flows over a floor of submerged Roman columns, creating one of the most unusual swimming environments in the ancient world. Entry is not included in the tour package and is paid directly on-site, it is an optional experience for those who want to take the plunge.
15:30 - Pamukkale tour ends.
18:00 - Intercity bus to Fethiye. (Bus departure time may change.)
21:00 - Arrival in Fethiye and transfer to your hotel in Fethiye center.
Overnight stay in Fethiye.
Blue Cruise: Samanlik, Butterfly Valley, St. Nicholas
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the pier in Fethiye center, where the cruise will depart around 11:00 am. When the gulet departs, your leisurely sea days begin.
- Samanlik Bay: A calm opening swim stop close to Fethiye, with sheltered water and pine-covered slopes that make the first hours on board feel easy and unhurried.
- Butterfly Valley: One of the most dramatic coves on the Turquoise Coast, enclosed by steep cliffs and reached most naturally by boat. Depending on sea conditions, you can swim, rest on deck, or admire the valley from the gulet.
- St. Nicholas Island: A historic island stop with Byzantine ruins, old stone paths, and sunset views over the water. It gives the first cruise day a gentle mix of swimming, scenery, and history.
Overnight stay in your private cabin on the Blue Cruise.
Blue Cruise: Aquarium Bay, Kas & Kekova
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
The cruise continues with clear-water swimming stops and time around the Kas and Kekova coast. Aquarium Bay is known for transparent water and relaxed swimming, while Kas brings a small harbor-town atmosphere with whitewashed streets, cafes, and a lively marina feel. As the route turns toward Kekova, the coastline becomes quieter and more archaeological, with Lycian traces and rocky coves shaping the day.
Overnight stay in your private cabin on the Blue Cruise.
Blue Cruise: Sunken City, Simena, Gokkaya Bay
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
Another full cruise day brings archaeology and coastline together around Kekova and Simena. The Sunken City area reveals partially submerged Lycian ruins visible from the boat, while Simena offers castle views, stone houses, and a timeless village atmosphere above the water. Gokkaya Bay usually gives the day a softer ending, with sheltered water and a quiet anchorage for the evening.
Overnight stay in your private cabin on the Blue Cruise.
Blue Cruise End & Transfer to Antalya
Meal: Breakfast
The cruise ends through the Myra, Demre, and Olympos side of the coast before your road transfer to Antalya. Myra is associated with Lycian rock tombs and the legacy of St. Nicholas, Demre gives the route a small-town coastal pause, and the Olympos coastline adds forested slopes, ancient traces, and a final Mediterranean frame before the journey continues by road.
Overnight stay in Antalya.

- Devrent Valley (Pink Valley): Walking into Devrent Valley without a guide is possible but less rewarding, because many formations are not self-evidently animal-shaped until someone points out the correct viewing angle. A guided visit turns a walk through interesting rocks into a genuinely playful experience.
- Pasabag Open Air Museum: Pasabag in winter looks entirely different from its summer appearance, with snow sitting on the basalt caps and the valley floor bare and quiet. Off-season travelers who visit Cappadocia in January or February often report Pasabag as one of the highlights of a very different kind of tour.
- Avanos Pottery Workshop: Avanos sits on the longest river in Turkey, and the Kizilirmak's red clay is the raw material that has defined the town's identity for millennia. You can see the river from the workshop area, which gives the craft its geographic context in a way that a museum display never could.
- Goreme Panoramic View: A low stone wall at the edge of Goreme Panoramic View serves as both safety barrier and camera rest, letting you stabilize your phone for sharper shots without a tripod. Your guide will point out the two or three specific compositions that work best from this spot.
- Zelve Open Air Museum: Social history is more present at Zelve than at any other Cappadocia museum site, because the twentieth-century occupation dates are recent enough to feel personal. Zelve's residents were alive during the 1952 relocation, and some of the people who grew up in these caves are still alive today.
- Uchisar Castle (exterior view): Uchisar Castle is one of the few Cappadocia landmarks that is genuinely impressive at any time of day, in any weather, and from any angle. Most sights benefit from specific conditions; Uchisar's sheer scale and carved complexity mean it delivers at nine in the morning, at noon, and in the long shadows of late afternoon.

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

- Red Valley: Red Valley's rock formations change appearance dramatically depending on the time of day, shifting from pale gold in morning light to deep orange at noon and warm amber in late afternoon. Planning a visit to Red Valley for mid-morning gives you the most vivid colors before direct overhead light flattens the tonal range.
- Rose Valley (Gulludere Valley): Painted decorations inside Gulludere Valley's rock churches range from simple red-line geometric patterns to complex figurative scenes covering entire vaulted ceilings. Art historians classify these frescoes across several distinct periods, with clear stylistic differences between earlier abstract work and later narrative Byzantine painting traditions.
- Cavusin Village: Old Cavusin village rises dramatically from the valley floor, its cliff face riddled with stacked rows of cave openings, carved doorways, and hollowed-out rooms visible from the road below. Walking up through the abandoned upper settlement reveals how precisely early inhabitants carved staircases, windows, and connecting passages into the solid volcanic rock.
- Pigeon Valley: Hot air balloons launched from Goreme in the early morning regularly drift over Pigeon Valley's canyon, and travelers walking the trail below can look up and watch them pass silently overhead. This combination of ancient carved cliffs, wild pigeons, and drifting balloons makes Pigeon Valley one of Cappadocia's most visually layered experiences.
- Underground City: Cappadocia's underground city descends through several distinct levels, with each floor connected to the next by steep carved staircases and narrow vertical shafts designed for single-file movement. The deepest accessible levels sit roughly 40 to 85 meters below the surface depending on the specific city, deep enough to maintain acoustic and thermal isolation from the world above.

Tour Overview
Why the Blue Cruise Changes Everything About This Package
- Four consecutive days on a private cabin gulet: all meals are served on deck, anchoring in quiet bays each evening with no hotel check-ins or tourist crowds, a genuine maritime break within a land-based itinerary.
- Kekova's sunken city by boat: the flooded Lycian ruins at Kekova are only accessible by sea; no land-based package can include this stop without a boat segment.
- Ephesus and Pamukkale before the cruise: the classical Aegean section comes first, so the cruise feels like a reward, shifting from archaeology to open water and sea air mid-trip.
- Cappadocia saved for the finale: both cave-landscape touring days arrive near the end, giving the trip a strong visual close before returning to Istanbul.
- Antalya as a natural connector: the cruise disembarks into Antalya, turning the city into a one-night Mediterranean pause rather than a destination in itself.
If the cruise section makes this itinerary longer than needed, the 14-day Turkey, Istanbul and Cappadocia tour covers the land highlights in one fewer day.
For travelers ready to go further into eastern Turkey and its ancient sites, the 17-day Turkey, Istanbul and Nemrut tour extends the journey with two more days through Nemrut and Gobeklitepe.

15 days and I still didnt want to leave lol. This tour covered so much ground, Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, the blue cruise, Antalya, and more. The blue cruise portion was my absolute favourite, 4 days on a boat in the Mediterranean with incredible food and turquoise water. Cappadocia balloon ride was also amazing. Every transition between cities was smooth, flights on time, drivers waiting at every airport. Hotels were comfortable everywhere. Guide Ugur was fun and informative. If you can spare 2 weeks Turkey deserves it.
