• Cavusin Village: Cavusin's name appears in Byzantine sources as one of several named settlements in Cappadocia's Goreme valley, confirming its historical significance beyond what is visible today. Cross-referencing these written records with surviving carved architecture has helped researchers reconstruct the social organization of Cappadocia's cliff communities.
• Pigeon Valley: Its canyon trail connects two of Cappadocia's best-known landmarks, with Uchisar Castle's massive rock fortress visible from the western entrance and Goreme's cone-shaped fairy chimneys rising ahead to the east.
