Tour Overview

This 6-day Turkey itinerary starts with two guided days in Cappadocia, continues overland to Pamukkale with free time in Konya, then covers Ephesus before finishing with Antalya's waterfalls, old town, and coast.

It is a compact route for travelers who want Cappadocia, Aegean antiquity, and the Mediterranean in less than a week.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 ─

Fly to Cappadocia & Red Route

Meal: Lunch

04:00 - Pick up from your Istanbul hotel and transfer to the airport.

06:30 - Flight to Cappadocia. Flight time and airport may change according to season, airline schedule, and operational availability.

08:00 - Arrival and transfer to the Red Route.

  • Devrent Valley: Devrent is known for surreal volcanic rock shapes that resemble animals and figures. It is a playful but useful first look at how erosion shaped the volcanic layers of Cappadocia.
  • Pasabag Open Air Museum: Pasabag has some of the most dramatic fairy chimneys in the region, including multi-capped formations associated with early hermit life. The site makes Cappadocia geology feel close and tangible.
  • Avanos Pottery Workshop: Avanos sits beside the Red River, whose clay has supported pottery production for thousands of years. A workshop visit connects the landscape with a craft that is still practiced daily.
  • Zelve Open Air Museum: Zelve was once a cave village and monastic settlement spread across several valleys. Its abandoned homes, churches, tunnels, and open paths show how communities adapted to soft volcanic rock.
  • Goreme Panoramic Point: The Goreme viewpoint gives a wide reading of the valley system, with cave dwellings, fairy chimneys, and layered ridges visible at the same time. It is one of the clearest places to understand the scale of Cappadocia.
  • Uchisar Castle Photo Stop: Uchisar Castle rises as the highest natural rock fortress in the region. From the photo stop, the castle and surrounding valleys show how defense, settlement, and landscape worked together.

17:00 - When the tour ends, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

09:30 - Hotel pick-up for the south Cappadocia route.

  • Red Valley: Red Valley is known for warm-colored rock walls, hidden cave rooms, and sunset tones created by iron-rich volcanic layers. The color changes through the day, making it one of the most atmospheric valleys in Cappadocia.
  • Gulludere Valley: Gulludere, also called Rose Valley, combines soft pink rock formations with cave churches and walking paths between vineyards and old dwellings. It gives a quieter, more textured side of Cappadocia.
  • Cavusin Village: Cavusin is an old rock-cut settlement where cave houses and churches climb the cliff face. The village shows how local life once blended directly into the stone.
  • Underground City: The underground city is a multi-level refuge with tunnels, storage rooms, ventilation shafts, and defensive stone doors. It explains how Cappadocian communities protected themselves during unstable periods.
  • Pigeon Valley: Pigeon Valley is lined with dovecotes carved into the rocks, once used to collect fertilizer for vineyards. The viewpoint also gives a wide look toward Uchisar and the surrounding valley floor.

17:00 - When the tour ends, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Cappadocia.

Day 3 ─

Cappadocia to Pamukkale via Konya

Meal: Breakfast

After breakfast and check-out, depart from Cappadocia by private vehicle with driver only. The total journey to Pamukkale takes about 10 hours with breaks, including free time in Konya for lunch and personal exploration. This Konya stop is self-guided; if you would like a guide there, we can arrange one at an extra cost. You will arrive in Pamukkale in the evening and stay overnight there.

Overnight stay in Pamukkale.

Day 4 ─

Pamukkale Tour & Transfer to Kusadasi/Selcuk

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

09:30 - Begin the Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour.

  • Hierapolis: Hierapolis was a Roman spa city built above the thermal springs. Its streets, theater, sacred zones, and public buildings show why this hilltop became both a healing center and a major ancient settlement.
  • Roman Bath and Basilica: The bath and basilica area connects the thermal culture of Hierapolis with its later Christian history. It is one of the places where the city feels layered rather than simply ruined.
  • Plutonium: The Plutonium was linked with ancient beliefs about the underworld because natural gases emerged from the ground near the sacred area. Its story gives Hierapolis a darker ritual dimension.
  • Cleopatra Pool area: The antique pool area is fed by warm thermal water and surrounded by fallen Roman columns. Entering the pool area is part of the visit; swimming is optional and paid locally.
  • Pamukkale Travertines: Pamukkale Travertines are formed by mineral-rich thermal water flowing down the hillside and leaving white calcium deposits behind. The result is a bright natural terrace system unlike any classical ruin around it.

16:30 - Transfer to your hotel in Kusadasi/Selcuk.

Overnight stay in Kusadasi/Selcuk.

Day 5 ─

Ephesus Tour & Fly to Antalya

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

08:30 - Pick up from your hotel in Kusadasi/Selcuk for Ephesus.

  • Temple of Artemis: The Temple of Artemis was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and once made Ephesus a major pilgrimage and trade center. Today only fragments remain, but the stop gives the ancient city a larger sacred context before entering the main ruins.
  • Ephesus Ancient City: Ephesus was one of the great cities of Roman Asia, with marble streets, public baths, temples, shops, fountains, and civic buildings preserved on a remarkable scale. A guided walk turns the ruins from scattered stones into a working city again.
  • House of Virgin Mary: The House of Virgin Mary sits quietly on the slopes above Ephesus and is visited by both Christian pilgrims and travelers seeking a calmer spiritual stop. Its small chapel, candle area, and shaded courtyard create a very different atmosphere from the Roman city below.

17:00 - Transfer to Izmir Airport.

19:30 - Flight to Antalya Airport. (Flight time may change. If a direct flight is not available, a connected flight will be arranged.)

20:40 - Arrival at Antalya Airport. We will welcome you at the exit and transfer you to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Antalya.

Day 6 ─

Antalya Old City, Waterfalls & Fly to Istanbul

Meal: Breakfast & Lunch

09:00 - Start Antalya Old City, waterfalls, and panoramic boat tour.

  • Duden Waterfall: Duden Waterfall shows Antalya from its freshwater side, where the river system reaches the coastal plain before meeting the Mediterranean landscape. The sound, shade, and cliffside views make it a refreshing contrast to the archaeological days before it.
  • Karpuzkaldiran Waterfall: Karpuzkaldiran, also known as Lower Duden, drops dramatically from the cliffs into the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the rare places where a waterfall can be seen together with open sea and coastal city views.
  • Kaleici Old Town: Kaleici is Antalya old harbor quarter, where Ottoman houses, Roman walls, narrow lanes, boutique courtyards, and sea views sit within the same compact district. It is the most characterful walking area of the city.
  • Panoramic Boat Tour: The panoramic boat tour gives a short coastal perspective on Antalya, showing the cliffs, harbor, and old town from the water. It is a gentle final view before the flight back to Istanbul.

16:00 - Transfer to Antalya Airport.

18:30 - Flight to Istanbul. Flight time and airport may change according to season, airline schedule, and operational availability.

20:00 - Arrival in Istanbul and transfer to your hotel.

This tour package ends here. It has been our pleasure to host you, and we hope your Turkey journey leaves you with beautiful memories.

Tour Overview

Why this 6-day route is practical

  • Fast but complete: Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, and Antalya are covered with a clear day-by-day structure.
  • Konya break included: The long road transfer becomes easier with self-guided time in Konya.
  • Related option: For a route with more free time, compare the 7 Days Cappadocia, Pamukkale and Antalya Tour.
  • It links three very different landscapes without backtracking: The route begins in Cappadocia volcanic valleys, continues through the central Anatolian road toward Pamukkale, and finishes on the Mediterranean coast, so each day moves the journey forward geographically.
  • Konya turns a long transfer into a useful pause: Instead of treating the road day as empty travel time, the program leaves space for lunch and self-guided exploration in Konya, with a guide option available if you want deeper context.
  • Antalya gives the itinerary a softer final note: After Cappadocia, Pamukkale, and Ephesus, the last day balances waterfalls, Kaleici Old Town, and a coastal boat view before returning to Istanbul.
