• Devrent Valley (Pink Valley): Devrent Valley sits just a few kilometers from Pasabag, and the contrast between the two stops is one of the Red Tour's most deliberate design choices. Devrent gives you nature in its purest form; Pasabag shows what happened when humans decided to live inside that same rock.
• Pasabag Open Air Museum: It includes several smaller fairy chimneys alongside the famous tall formations, and many visitors focus only on the largest group and miss the quieter clusters toward the back of the site. Taking the full loop path rather than just approaching the tallest chimneys is worth the extra few minutes.
• Avanos Pottery Workshop: Some Avanos family workshops have been continuously operating since the early twentieth century, with techniques and clay preparation methods passed down through direct apprenticeship. Buying a piece from a family workshop means bringing home an object with a traceable artisan lineage.
• Goreme Panoramic View: From Goreme Panoramic View in spring, the valley floor shows patches of green between the rock formations, a seasonal color that makes the pale chimneys stand out with unusual clarity. That contrast disappears in summer when the landscape dries to uniform brown and ochre.
• Zelve Open Air Museum: Zelve's three interconnected valleys each contain their own cluster of cave dwellings carved at multiple levels and connected by interior tunnels and carved staircases. • Rose Valley (Gulludere Valley): Rose Valley's trail descends from the upper plateau into the canyon floor and then climbs gently through orchards and past carved cliff facades before emerging near Cavusin. The variation in terrain and constant change of scenery makes the walk through Gulludere Valley feel much shorter than its actual length suggests.
• Cavusin Village: Carved wine presses found at the base of Cavusin's cliff confirm that viticulture was a central part of the community's economy alongside farming and religious activity. Cappadocia's volcanic soil produces distinctive mineral-rich wines, and Cavusin's location in the valley gave it access to the same fertile land worked by its neighbors.
• Pigeon Valley: Its cliff walls contain layers of both carved pigeon houses and natural rock cavities formed by weathering, and distinguishing between them requires a close look at the regularity of each opening's shape. Carved houses have consistent rounded or rectangular profiles and smooth interior surfaces, while natural cavities are irregular in shape and rough inside.
