• Ephesus Ancient City: Ephesus holds a special place in early Christian history, the Apostle Paul preached here, and the city features prominently in his letters as well as in the Book of Revelation. Walking past the sites where those events unfolded connects the ancient city to religious history that reaches far beyond classical Rome. For visitors of faith and secular history lovers alike, that layer adds real depth to the visit.
• House of Virgin Mary: A visit to the House of Virgin Mary takes about 20 to 30 minutes, which is enough time to walk the grounds, enter the chapel, stop at the wishing wall, and fill a bottle at the sacred spring. The site is compact but fully realized, each element has its purpose, and none of them feel like tourist additions. It is one of the few pilgrimage sites that manages to stay genuinely devotional despite large visitor numbers.
• Temple of Artemis: Reconstruction of the single surviving column at the Temple of Artemis site was assembled from fragments found at the location, giving visitors at least one full vertical element to understand the original proportions. At 18 meters, a single column of the Artemision was taller than the entire facade of many ordinary Roman temples. • Theater of Pergamon: The vertiginous theater carved into the hillside is one of the most dramatic ancient performance spaces in Turkey. Its steep rake and valley backdrop make it an unforgettable visual highlight of the heritage route.
• Asklepion: Asklepion shifts the focus from political power to ancient medicine and healing ritual, broadening the day's historical range considerably. Its tunnels, therapy rooms, and sacred spring show how health care functioned as civic institution.

08:30 - Departure from Selcuk to Pamukkale. The journey takes approximately 3 hours with a short break.

11:45 - Arrival in Pamukkale.

13:00 - Guided Pamukkale and Hierapolis tour begins.

• Pamukkale: A hillside turned completely white by thousands of years of thermal activity, that is Pamukkale in a single sentence. The mineral springs here carry dissolved calcium carbonate, which builds up layer by layer into smooth travertine terraces. UNESCO recognized the site's extraordinary combination of natural beauty and ancient history, and both rewards are still here waiting for you.
• White Calcium Terraces: Pamukkale's calcium terraces look different from every angle. From below, they appear as a bright white cliff face. From above, they open into a series of wide turquoise pools. Standing inside one of those pools on warm smooth travertine, with the plains of Denizli spread out in front of you, the perspective shifts entirely, and this hillside suddenly feels as extraordinary as its UNESCO status suggests.
• Hierapolis Ancient City: Standing in the theater at Hierapolis, you look out over the same white travertine hillside the Romans could see from their seats two thousand years ago. The theater is one of the best-preserved in Turkey, its carved marble seating still largely intact. Below the stage, the ancient city of Hierapolis unfolds in every direction: colonnaded streets, temples, baths, and the largest ancient necropolis in Anatolia.
• Cleopatra Antique Thermal Pool: The Cleopatra Antique Pool area can be visited without an extra entrance fee. Swimming in the thermal pool is optional and payable on-site.

16:00 - Pamukkale tour ends. You will have time to rest or take a final look at the site before departure.

19:00 - Arrival at your hotel in Kusadasi and check-in.

08:30 - After breakfast and check-out, transfer to the Priene, Miletos, and Didyma tour meeting point.

• Priene: Priene stands as one of the clearest examples of Hellenistic grid planning in western Anatolia, with a compact hilltop layout that feels both elegant and readable. Its temple of Athena and theater reward visitors who value urban design over sheer size.
• Miletos: Miletos expands the day with the larger civic remains of a city that once shaped philosophy, science, and Mediterranean trade. Its great theater and public squares illustrate ambitions that matched or exceeded those of its neighbors.
• Didyma: Didyma closes the PMD triangle with the colossal Temple of Apollo, whose towering columns and sacred oracle history create a monumental finale. The sheer scale of the temple base alone communicates the religious importance this site once commanded.

17:00 - Tour ends and transfer to Izmir Airport.

Your guide will keep track of the schedule while you wait for the right light.
• Avanos Pottery Workshop: Avanos hands-on sessions are genuinely participatory rather than passive: you sit at a wheel, the instructor positions your hands, and you feel the clay respond to pressure in real time. That tactile directness is what makes the stop memorable weeks after the tour ends.
• Goreme Panoramic View: On clear days at Goreme Panoramic View, Mount Erciyes rises on the southeastern horizon, a dormant volcano whose ancient eruptions deposited the ash that became every fairy chimney in the valley below. Seeing the source and the result from the same viewpoint is one of Cappadocia's quietly powerful experiences.

• Red Valley: Hiking through Red Valley takes between 45 minutes and two hours depending on pace and how many stops you make along the route. The trail is dusty and uneven in places, so sturdy footwear is strongly recommended, especially near the sections where the path narrows between rock walls.
• Rose Valley (Gulludere Valley): Carved niches and pigeonholes punctuate the upper sections of Rose Valley's cliff walls, evidence that Gulludere's inhabitants combined religious and agricultural activity in the same landscape. Pigeon droppings collected from these carved holes fertilized the same orchards that still produce fruit along the valley floor today.
• Cavusin Village: Old Cavusin's upper cliff presents a natural photo opportunity that few visitors miss: the entire carved facade visible from a single angle, with the modern village clustered below and open sky above. The structural stability of tunnels and chambers that have survived for more than a thousand years is a testament to how well the builders understood the material they were working with.
