More Details
The day begins early in Izmir, as your driver picks you up from your hotel and you set off toward the inland wonders of Turkey. The scenery shifts from city streets to olive groves and rural landscapes until the dazzling white cliffs of Pamukkale appear on the horizon—like snow in the middle of summer.
Your guide leads you through the ancient city of Hierapolis, where Roman columns, bathhouses, and temples stand testament to centuries of healing and faith. The sprawling necropolis, sacred fountains, and enormous amphitheater bring the ruins to life with stories of pilgrims and emperors.
Then it’s time to take off your shoes and walk on the warm, mineral-rich waters of Pamukkale Travertines. As the sunlight reflects off the calcium deposits, you’ll feel like you’re walking through a fairytale. With some free time, you may choose to swim in the legendary Cleopatra Pool—where ancient marble columns rest beneath the surface of thermal waters.
After an unforgettable day of exploring both natural and historical wonders, you return to Izmir with a sense of awe and a phone full of stunning photos. That’s the magic of a Pamukkale tour from Izmir.
A must-see in Turkey! My wife and I decided to take a full-day Pamukkale and Hierapolis ruins daily tour from Izmir. The travel coach journey was very nice and air-conditioned, although it was around 4/4,5 hours long from Izmir via Selcuk. We stopped off for a buffet lunch in Pamukkale town which was great before heading to the pools. The day tour was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed this experience. that is a must-see in Turkey and we urge everyone to visit if you are staying in Turkey. We had locally guided daily trips through the ancient antique city of Hierapolis which included seeing the Roman baths, all the way to the snow-white limestone thermal pools which is the main attraction surrounding the mountains. We had free time and were allowed to wander around taking pictures. Also, we were then allowed to swim in the Cleopatra antique pool which was on thermal spring water. There was an additional charge to swim in the pools (own expense) but wasn’t a lot and overall a really lovely experience. We also had our pictures taken in the white travertine pools which was a lovely memory. There are cafes where you can grab a bite or a drink around the antique pool. Overall, that was a great experience and a must-see in Turkey. we believe it is known as the 8th wonder of the world and pictures don’t do it justice...
Day trip to Pamukkale and Hierapolis from Izmir city! toursce.com and their team were great. All of them were excellent service and very polite. We even forgot the phone and bag on the bus at the end of the day and the driver came back for us after a long day of driving. The day tour guide was kind, knowledgeable, and very professional. The day trip was really worth considering the long drive from Izmir. the hot springs from the mountains create the breathtaking formation of Calcium Carbonate. the guide showed us around the places and gave some historical details about the place. After that, we had some free time to see around the place by own. In case if you want to take a dip in the thermal pool don't forget to bring your swimsuit with you. Pamukkale and Hierapolis is an amazing place to see in Turkey.
